Georgia Division Heads to Oconee

ATHENS, Ala. – The Georgia Division of the ABA Open Series will host the fourth event of the 2018 season June 9, 2018, on Lake Oconee in Buckhead, GA.

The competitors will launch at Sugar Creek Marina, located at 353 Parks Mill Road, Buckhead, GA 30625.  Anglers may begin fishing at 6:15 a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at Sugar Creek Marina with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $200 with co-anglers paying $100. First place is guaranteed a minimum $5,000 first place for boaters. To learn more about the payout visit www.abaopenseries.com/payout.php 

Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 14 inches long and Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing this tournament and ABA Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, ABU Garcia, and Maui Jim.
