Mckinney Hold on to First Place

ATHENS, Ala. – Day two on the Red River at the Ray Scott Championship proved to be a lot tougher on the anglers. John Anderson of Mckinney, TX remains in the lead but this five-fish limit only locked in the at 9.91 pounds. On day one John brought in 16.53 making his two day total 26.44 pounds.

The tougher conditions allowed other anglers to gain on the leader, like Billy Graves of Montgomery, LA. Billy is less than two pounds out of the lead going into day three with 25.68. He brought in the biggest bag today at 14.33 pounds. 

NicK LeBrun of Bossier City, LA is holding tight in third place going into day-three, with a two-day total weight of 24.63 pounds.

In the Co-Angler side Bryan Murphy of Sulphur, LA brought in a three-fish limit that tipped the scales at 11.88 pounds.  He took a big jump from 69th place to go into day-three with the lead for the Co-Anglers with a total weight of 13.59 pounds. Bryan also brought in the biggest fish caught so far, setting the bar with a healthy 6.51 pound largemouth.

Eric Andrews of Davenport, FL brought in his second three-fish limit.  Today his fish locked in the scales at 5.87 pounds giving him a two-day total of 11.93 pounds putting him just under 2 pounds out of the lead.

Anthony Kashiwsky of Aliquippa, PA also brought in his second three-fish limit that gave him a two-day total weight of 11.86 pounds putting him in third going into day-three.

The public is invited to attend the Ray Scott Championship daily weigh-ins at Red River Marina South starting Thursday, April 5th at 3 pm. The final weigh-in will be on Sunday, April 8th with the top 25 boater and co-anglers. Red River Marina South is located at 250 Red River South Marina Road, Bossier City, LA 71112, (318) 747-9545.
