North Carolina Heads to Lake Hickory

ATHENS, Ala. – The North Carolina Division of the Open Series will hold its next event 3-24-2018 on Lake Hickory.

The competitors will launch from Whittenburg Wildlife access located at 89 Wildlife Access Road Hickory NC 28601.  Anglers will begin fishing at 7:15 AM Or safe light until 3:15 PM.

Registration will be at the ABA stage trailer on Friday 3-23-2018 at Whittenburg Wildlife access located at 89 Wildlife access road Hickory NC.Registration will run from 4:00 PM-6:30 PM with the pairings meeting to follow at 7:00 PM. Anglers holding a Freedom pass must text or call 256-497-0967 Friday 3/23/18 between 4:00PM- 6:30 PM to confirm you are fishing the event. 

To enter anglers fishing the boater division pay $200.00 per single day events with the co-anglers paying $100.00 for the single day events. The first place boater is guaranteed a minimum of $5000.00.

Anglers fishing the boater division may weigh in up to five bass and the co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitor may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine and ABU Garcia. See the manufacturer Websites for specific details on how to qualify for these bonuses.

Tournament information:
Limit: 5
bass for the boaters, 3 bass for the co-anglers
Size limit: You may have two 
bass between 12-14 inches. The remainder of your catch must be 14 inches or greater.
Off Limits for this event: anything marked or posted off limits, keep out, etc.
This will be a trailered weigh-in.
All anglers are required to have a valid North Carolina fishing license.
 
Take off: 7:15 AM or safe light
Weigh in 3:15 PM
