Binkley Seizes Co-anlgler Victory at Tennessee Central Opener
Brennon Binkley of Franklin, TN was the co-angler champion of the Ram Truck Open Series event held on February 27, 2016 at Percy Priest Lake. Binkley’s 9.16 pound limit was worth $1565. “I caught everything today using a chartreuse square bill. I had a limit pretty early this morning and I was able to cull a few times to get to the weight I wanted,” said Binkley.
Tyler Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN finished in second place on the co-angler side with 9.10 pounds to win $528. “I used a crankbait all day in about 4 feet of water. I caught one good keeper first thing this morning and the other two keepers came later in the day,” said Lewis.
John Wilkerson of Nashville, TN brought in 7.59 pounds to finish in third place and win $352. “I caught my fish on a red Rat-L-Trap. We fished very shallow, I would say in about a foot of water. I caught fish all day,” said Wilkerson.
Co-angler Big Bass honors went to Carl Pope of Hodgenville, KY after bringing in a 5.26 pounder worth $190 from the Big Bass Pot. “I caught my Big Bass using a green pumpkin jig in around 15-18 feet of water,” said Pope.

Ram Truck Open Series anglers can take advantage of the “no boat on boat draw” format along with huge payouts for the 2016 season. First place boaters can win a guaranteed $5000 first place, regardless of number of entries. Payouts will increase to $6000 for the first place boater with a 100 boat field. Over the course of four divisional events and the area championship, anglers will be competing for a spot in the 2017 Ray Scott Championship.
