English Wins Georgia Opener at Lake Seminole
Jim English of Gordon, AL was the co-angler champion of the Ram Truck Open Series event held on January 30, 2016 at Lake Seminole. English’s 7.12 pound limit was worth $1500 and he also had the 5.25 pound Co-angler Big Bass worth an additional $195. “We were fishing over on the Chattahoochee, flipping and my boater treated me very well,” said English.
James Durbin of Tallahassee, FL finished in second place on the co-angler side with 5.66 pounds to win $503. “Well, I caught them all on a junebug colored speed worm, Texas rigged. We, maybe, ran a mile and stayed in the same area all day long. Those were the only three bites that I had all day and all before 9:00,” said Durbin.
Gerald Bozeman of Sylvester, GA brought in 5.91 pounds to finish in third place and win $335. “I was up the Chattahoochee River and caught them all on a jig. Those were the only two bites that I had,” said Bozeman.

Ram Truck Open Series anglers can take advantage of the “no boat on boat draw” format along with huge payouts for the 2016 season. First place boaters can win a guaranteed $5000 first place, regardless of number of entries. Payouts will increase to $6000 for the first place boater with a 100 boat field.
